    Hi all!
I posted in the new member forum also but wanted to stop in here since I will be spending a lot of time here reading. Here's some pics of my "new" ride and old one I sold. Old one was a 00 4x4 SR5 TRD v-6 auto ext cab and new one is an 01 4x4 SR5 4cyl auto ext cab stepside I bought last month. It has a TRD sticker on it but its not, no locker. The 00 had 203,000 miles when sold and the 01 has 95,000 miles. 00 gave me many great years of service with only timing belt changes, oil, and put new radiator in it. The 01 has new frame and brake/fuel lines that was part of the recall. So far on the 01 I have gone through and changed fluids: front & rear dif, T-case (Valvoline 75w90 syn in all), and drained tranny fluid and refilled with fresh (valvoline Dex/Merc). I got about 3.5-3.75 qts by just draining the pan. Will do another drain and refill in a few thousand miles. I have used Valvoline fluids and oils for many yrs so will stick with them in the 01 also. Oil change is on agenda this wkend with a new toy filter and val 5w30 and grease all the zerks also. Radiator will be drained and flushed and filled with the toy red since that's what's in it I'm going to stick with it. Zero issues with anything, just wanted to start with clean fluids going forward. May do the p.steering fluid later too. I did buy new drain & fill plugs from dealer for the front dif and tranny. They were kinda beat up and rusty. I'm not a pro by any means, but try to do most of my maintenance to save $. Looks like many good tutorials on this site for maintenance and such. I'm pleased to be a part of this community!
