That's amazing. I used to work in Hawthorne and we shared a parking structure with SpaceX. I would always pass by their HQ there in hopes of catching a glimpse of something through an open bay door.

I watched it live and literally cried a bit.

For all the other bullshit we go through in our lives, we're absurdly fortunate to not just have been born now in history, but geography. That I can watch this 25 story office building go slamming into fucking orbit and the engine, going 1000+MPH and over 100KM up in the air, can gently touch down on a 100 foot square bobbing concrete and steel pontoon off the Florida coast 4 minutes later is nothing short of miraculous. The unlucky kids born in Syria and Iran don't get to see this shit.

That's amazing! In my offshore days we wouldn't even have dropped an ROV over the side in those kind of seas, let alone land a rocket on a barge. Good grief that's impressive.

They attempted it again today. This time they had even less fuel remaining to try the landing, so the rocket was heading towards the landing barge at 2x the speed of the previous, and only, successful attempt. And here's how it went today:

Their third successful landing of the 1st stage rocket onto their drone ship in the ocean took place yesterday.

Here is a sped up video of it landing on the drone ship after separating from the 2nd stage (which carries the actual payload into orbit):
