It is really quite frustrating. I have a 2016 TRD Off Road 4x4 Manual Transmission on order.
They said it would be 9-12 weeks. Next Wednesday it will be 9 weeks. I have considered finding one in another state and driving there, or have my dealer make a trade. Every time I find one I call and it has been sold. What is it with 98% of the people in this country that like the vehicle making all your decisions for them? I hate Automatic Transmissions. That is all.

I know there's a dealer in Ohio that's been the go to in the Midwest. I bought mine in Oregon and I'm sure you could get one on order there pretty easily. If you need either of those let me know.

In October of 2006 I ordered a 2007 4WD 4 cyl. with a manual. That was when they were all built in the Nummi plant in California. It came on Dec. 26th. I received an e-mail notification saying that my truck had been completed on Dec. 12 and thought that with time of year two weeks to get across the US to Florida wasn't too bad. It was around 11 weeks total. I have looked into a new one but they REALLY discourage 4 cylinder 4WD's and manuals as so few show up on the SE Toyota site. There are also just 2 colors, white or gray, or at least there were when I was looking in Feb./March. There were few options available for the manual versions as they try hard to discourage buyers. They don't like manuals because so few are sold compared to automatics, I think I read about 6% manuals now overall. Also, all their electronic safety aids/auto braking, etc. aren't compatible with a manual as the driver would still have to push in the clutch.....it is a shame but I am old and realize that automatic transmissions are the norm and being pushed on the few who are holding out. It is about $$ so Toyota doesn't care at all. It is simpler to build just one version on the assembly line. Sorry, I am an old guy. Rant over. Your truck will be along shortly. You have waited this long so hang in there. Tim
