4cyl 4x2 . the "ect power" makes it zippy. got it for its known reliability and easy maint. they could reprogram the shifting but other than that no complaints .

This thread was a good find for me. Just put the deposit down to get one to my dealer and was having some second thoughts on power. I don't plan on towing anything just hauling whatever will fit in the box. Evidently finding a 2.7 5spd 4x4 SR isn't easy in the mid-west? Most lots are full of TRD's which I'd love if I wasn't so cheap. Sold my '05 2WD 2.7 5spd last week thinking I'd get a car. It took me about three days to realize I really missed having a truck.

Sr model with convenience package I paid 25k for it before taxes and all that. Traded in a Honda Ridgeline. Got rid of the steel wheels soon as possible. In the 4 years I Owed my Ridgeline never used the 4x4 once and found no need for the v6 besides hauling ass which just wasted gas. That was my reasoning for getting the 4cyl and 4x2.

Stock suspension I assume? Looks great, I want to ditch my steel wheels and 245 tires bad.

Yup, stock suspension. Took the front air dam off which gives the front end a more aggressive look and exposes more of the tires. The wheels were 600$ new from Toyota. Tires make the truck sit a bit higher too.

I removed my front air dam as well. Looks much better and I didn't notice a decrease in mpg. That's a great deal on those wheels. Did you notice a power loss going to the bigger 265's ?

Nothing that I noticed. I got the wheels at 1500 miles and have 2500 now so I believe from what I've read the engine should come alive a tad more once broken in. I came from a v6 so the power is already a big difference for me but I'm cool with it if it last forever. I enjoy driving it much more now with the wheels though.

Are those 16's? I plan on replacing mine also but nothing crazy. I have a 2.7 SR 4x2 so I dont want to bog it down with heavy (and pointless offroad) tires. I lied when I said a tonneau cover would be my first upgrade, it's gonna be mudflaps. I got mud all over the place after the rain today.

As far as feedback goes, I only have 172 miles on mine. The truck was built on May 16th in San Antonio, deleivered May 31st, and sold to me June 9th. I am trying to baby it the first 1000 miles per the manual. I had serious doubts I would like the engine but after a test drive those doubts were erased. It does fine on the highways here in TX and is a quiet and smooth ride. I am loving the truck so far even though I have no frigging clue how to use the features on the touch screen.
Cruise control could be better as I quicky learned to shut it off when approaching an incline and negotiate the hill on my own. It downshifts on the slightest hill on cruise but if I take it off cruise it does pretty good. I regret not getting a 4x4 but not enough to regret the purchase.....25k was the top of my budget and I plan on passing this on to my son one day. With all the issues the new V6 is experiencing I think for now the 2.7 is the safe choice and I think the comments I have seen about how slow it is are very exaggerated.

I've had mine for about three months now, and not a single complaint here. I would buy this same truck again if I were shopping.

I just leave my cruise on and just push the gas pedal down to gain a couple miles per hour right before I get to a hill or incline. Then when I crest the hill I take my foot off the gas pedal. Give that a try.

I would get a different color than I got. The 4 cylinder works for me though.
