No I can not, I am not saying they were, just showing what happens when any of them break or bolts come out.
If this is the result then why would you use anything but what is considered the best? :notsure:

Yes they were, but Toyota tried to correct the problem, MOOG just keeps selling theirs.
Just trying to help, not trying to defend Toyota, just putting the info out there, if you still think there are better parts then OEM I wish you nothing but the best of luck.

I smashed my front bumper while driving through a wash, which left me with some tire rubbing on my bumper. Fixed it up with some trimming. Should hold me off until I order a tube bumperupload_2016-5-28_16-17-24.jpg

Update on the land cruiser: was going to part out on ih8mud but got an offer to buy it altogether, my brother asked for $2k (ik its kinda steep but we'd make more than that if it was parted out) he got us down to around $1200 so soon enough it'll be sold. Honestly kinda glad it sold in one piece, part outs seem like a pain and we don't really have the resources to facilitate it (space and time wise). So he's gonna see if he can get one he found on cl with diff lock.

Update on that 88 pickup: never emailed back :(

Also quick question, found a decent deal on wheel spacers (spidertrax), I know they put more stress on wheel bearings, ball joints, throw off suspension geometry, etc but how much would they shorten the life span of, say, wheel bearings? Think I'm only gonna run em til I get new wheels but if the stresses aren't too bad I'd be alright with keeping em for awhile.
    Sorry for the novel :p

Grommet on the passenger side also. More of a PITA to get to on the inside of the cab though.

When we ran my cables inside the cab for switches we drilled a new hole and inserted our own grommets.

Finished the other side today. We figure for the actual cutting/welding/fender removal were about 4 hours per side, and about 14 hours total for both sides, seam sealer and re-assembly. Now that the hard part is done I can trim the fenders whenever I have time.

And for shits and gigs we threw on whatever 35's we had for testing to see what it would look like. Keep in mind we tested with spacers on with 4" bs wheels so looking at 2.75" bs when I will run 3.75" bs. It's pretty fucking beastly looking.

Hmm, will 3.75" backspacing be enough to keep the tires off the frame? Thought I read somewhere you'd need about at least 3" backspacing. @Blackdawg

Because pics are always fun. Love my first generation brothers.

Today I completely removed the e brake from middle cab half back. Rerouted a bunch of brake lines to accommodate for the bpv. Installed the bpv. Plummed all the brakes. Just need to bleed them. Also redid the electrical from cab half back. All rear end lighting. Trailer lights too. Not like I'm set up to tow a lot now but maybe something small. Not sure if a taco was really meant to tow in the first place. Soldering is tedious. I used waterproof connectors which I absolutely love. I'm starting to see the end.

Cut off an entire 3 way here that was part ofthe brake system.

These yellow plugs push inward creating awaterproof seal.

What all the plugs will go into. Connects to rear end electrical on the bed and hitch/trailer.

She's actually cleaned up a lot.

No, i get the point. Part of what I was trying to convey is that Butts told a horror story about Moog and then followed it up with a whole bunch horrifying images which, statistically speaking, were OEM b-joints.

    I was smarting off, mostly

Now the only reason I have to be skeptical in the discussion is that the Moog joints I put in my TTB Ranger when I installed my lift were SOLID. I loved them.

I have no good experience with Tacoma b-joints, so I will take all this under advisement when ball joint day comes for me.

    Thanks:thumbsup:

Its a poor a arm design combined with not so great balljoints and a combination of people driving really hard and or never checking them.

You dont have to listen to the advice of people that have experienced their ball joints breaking and maybe youll be fine with the moogs but maybe not. Your call, oem was worth it for me.
