Exactly how much extra stroke does the Tundra strut have vs. the Tacoma? Would it be possible to install an 882 on a Tundra 5100 and achieve the height with suitable suspension travel?

But then there's the spacer thing on the knuckle to address.

spindles from a 4" spindle lift may work but that might be back to cost prohibitive.

Your lower control arm is simply 4" lower than is used to be. Theoretically (again, not an expert on drop bracket lifts) you should just be able to measure extended and collapsed lengths and get a custom coilover that fits without a spacer of any sort.

What you have now is the stock strut/spring with a large spacer. Regardless of whether or not it makes sense to remove the drop bracket brackets, removing the spacer I would think would be the main goal to improve the ride.

As the TPS isn't providing any spring precompression, the ride quality is dependent solely on the quality of the spring and shock used in the strut.

Thank you again for taking the time to give me options. I'm liking the idea of new rear leafs, custom CO's and new 4" spindles. Any suggestions for where to look for the CO's?

Dan @ Wheeler's Offroad has always been very helpful when I've had questions. Toytec is another option.

I have been very busy as of late and wanted to update where I am with this for others out there with the same problem.

I called All Pro about the Expedition springs, they informed me that they no longer offer those due to lack of demand. They DID offer to have some built for me when they placed their next order (they outsource). They said it would take about 3 months for them to get to them.

For the rear, I called Toytec and bought the +2.5" OME Dakars along with the AAL and the +1" shackle. New rear lift is 3 3/4". The blocks are gone and the shocks have been upgraded with Bilstein 5125's. I also used the Toytec U-blot flip kit. This required me to have newly fabricated lower shock mounts. They're nothing fancy but they're stout. I'm in the middle of decision making about the front as of this moment. I'll update this when I make up my mind. I might have a black eye from the wife before this is done. :ballchain:

After much deliberation and searching for new parts at the lowest price I am finished with the suspension! I left the 4" spacer over the C/O and replaced the knuckles with new ones from a Tuff Country 5" lift. I know it sounds crazy but it works. This is where I got my inspiration.

    http://parksoffroad.com/tacomamods/tcspindlesprocomplift/tcspindlesprocomplift.htm

These new spindles were pricey, but they are bomb proof compared to what was on there. I also replaced the C/O's with OME881's wrapped around Bilstein 5100's that were set to the same length as the pro comp junk that was in there. Dan from Wheeler's was a big help on getting me set up correctly. While I had the front end torn apart I replaced the hubs because they had to be pressed out of the old knuckles. The new knuckles came with new wheel bearings and upper ball joints already pressed in. I also replaced all the tie rods and sway bar links with Moog problem solvers. The longest part of this ordeal was searching for the right parts at the lowest price. I got all of my parts from RockAuto and eBay. A special thanks to Dan at Wheelers and all of the TW members who took time out of their day to help out a complete stranger. I will post pics from Tapatalk.

Thanks for all of your input and pointing me in the right direction. The springs are a little stiff right now but the truck rides so much better. I plan on a bumper like yours as it looks BADass! Too bad I can't go Elite like you have on yours, I'm jealous. I'm probably going to go the Relentless Fab route, he makes some awesome bumpers from what I can tell. Dan and I selected the 881's in anticipation of putting a plate bumper on the front.
