    Hi there folks,
    I have a 2006 "Pre-Runner" off road, SR5, 4.0L Auto trans, double cab. I think that's everything.

I have an E-Locker and it stopped working. I get no lights on the dash, and it will not try to engage. I have checked all of the fuses, inside and out. The main fuse for the locker is good as well as all other fuses. I have done a cursory check of connectors back at the diff. There is no fluid leakage at the diff.

Now to mention, I recently did a modification in which I used the "blank" 4WD fuse slot for power using an "Add-A-Circuit". I have tried unplugging the mod and disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes with no luck. The locker will not operate and the lights on the dash will not blink or light steady.

My suspicion is, I somehow fooled the computer into thinking it's a 4X4 therefore requiring me to put it in 4low to engage the locker. Are there any Toyota technicians on here who could confirm or eliminate this theory? And is there a fix for this? Or maybe a hidden fuse or relay that could be causing this?

Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

PS: this was the first time I've tried to use the locker since I did the mod I mentioned.

The 4wd fuse is used for the locker

The 4X4 fuse was blank up till I used it. The E-Locker fuse is inside on the right side of the fuse block.

    Could be wrong.

    Pretty sure though.

Ohhhhh, that makes sense. So where is the diff locker fuse I wonder. The 4X4 fuse slot was blank.

The 4wd fuse is not blank, it is used for the 4x4 computer in both the 4wd trucks and the 2wd trucks. The 4x4 computer in prerunner trucks is used to control the locker.

Could it be one of the big fuses under the hood? I didn't check all of those.

Got it. You were right taco85. But what happened was, I must have had a bad add-a-circuit. I took it out and plugged in just a fuse and it worked.

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
