Anyone heading to Rock Therapy from Denver Metro 2016?

I've had to change my plans for heading to Rock Therapy at Moab this year and now will be in Denver over Memorial day weekend.

Anyone else heading out from the Denver area on Tuesday that might be interested in a caravan?

 

I'm going but I'll be heading out on the 29th @ 0100 after I pick up a body at DIA

 

I haven't planned much out between what I need to do in Denver and heading back west, but most likely I'll be driving out on the 31st.

Seeing as y'all are headed to the same destination as us I figured I'd post and ask here.. We'll be hitting Denver at about 9 tonight if we keep on the road and will be looking to camp.. Unless there's a good spot before the city close to rt. 70??

 

If you hit Denver at 9pm, it'll be dark well before you get much into the mountains, probably better off just finding a truck stop if you can sleep in your truck or a cheap motel room if you can't

 

Scratch that.. 8.. If it makes a big difference.. Forgot about changing time zones again

 

And no we can't stay in the truck.. Absolutely full, we're tent camping

Do y'all know anything about Chatfield Staye Park? No one answered the phone when I called

 

Chatfeild is a reservoir on the south side of town. It will be a pay site. I would bet you'll be able to find a spot since it's Monday night, Im sure it was full Thursday through today.

Edit: you'll probably have to pay and entrance fee and a campsite fee. The campsites are designated site with restrooms.

 

No idea, all the offices would be closed now, though.

You should be able to get a room somewhere along I70 for under $50 tonight, though

 

Stayed on Strasburg last night at the KOA. We're headed through Denver right now on 70, plan on stopping for lunch on the other side of the Rockies
