Got a question/idea that I have been pondering over the weekend.

Right now I have a Blue Ridge Overland Gear molle panel for the drivers seat that I use for stuff that I need quick access to, with me being 6'3" my seat is also back a good bit. So it is very rare that people sit behind me at all.

I have been thinking about removing the rear seat that folds forward and then folding down the rear back of that seat and purchasing some sort of drawer system that could go right there that has either 1 or 2 drawers to store recovery gear, med kit, etc. Either that or completely removing that seat all together and mounting it to the floor on a platform. Would be even nicer if it could open from either the driver door or into the interior so that people that do ride in the back seat could access stuff as well and use it.

I did not see anything like that from Goose Gear, but not sure if anyone else makes something like that.

I can build things, but when it comes to something like this I would rather leave it to someone that has been doing it and doing it well.

Hopefully this makes sense on what I am wanting to do as I know some people put a fridge there, but I would rather have some form of small cabinet/drawer system that I could use instead.

Any ideas on something like this?

I had a similar notion but abandoned it because you lose so much width for the drawer because the rear doors don't open to a full 90 degrees and the drawer would contact the rear door on extension

Good point on that, did not think about that. Would be nice if they could open both ways, or have just doors on them that could open to let you get stuff out of them.
