image.jpg image.jpg Hi guys, new here. Im looking for suggestions for a extended range tank that'll fit a DCLB TACOMA. I've used the search function to no avail.

All the manufactured kits seem to only fit the shortbox truck. I really like the longe range automotive kit. Anything fit the longbox?

    Appreciate the help and guidance

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Too bad Toyota doesn't offer a long-range fuel tank as a factory option, sigh.

When I got my F150 they offer that, and I got the 37gal tank and love getting 600+ miles between fill ups. Come on Toyota!

Anyway, regrettably I have no useful contribution for the OPs question, just wanted to take the opportunity to rant and gloat. Thanks for affording me the opportunity...

A long range fuel tank would definitely be something of awesome proportions. I hate having to fill up every 215-226 miles... some longer range options would be HIGHLY welcoming.

I had a f150 with a 36-37 gallon tank and it was simply awesome, would kill to have a bigger tank on the taco

There is a thread on this somewhere, including the tank in the OP. That's for the Hilux and doesn't fit Tacos without modification, IIRC. It has been done though.

Looking at Tundras for next truck. I was disappointed to see that they have a 26 gallon tank. Range would be about the same as my Tacoma at 16 MPG versus 21. I think the Jap engineers need a geography lesson on North America. Ford offers a 37 gallon tank in the F150 why does Toyota not have a larger tank at least as an option.

I had their 98 gallon tank in my 89 Chevy 3500 big block. It's a great option if you can spare the bed space. Amazing build quality & customer service really went out of their way to help me. Mine was plumbed to automatically dump into the OEM fuel filler neck when the truck tank hit 33%. OP: without serious fabrication work this would be my route. If you choose to plumb it in like I did just be careful of your state's emission/SMOG/inspection procedures. It took me a good 3 tries to pass Cali's smog inspection due to vapor leaks in all of the additional fuel/vent lines. My credit card company misses that fuel tank. :bananadead:

good to know. I just read an article that they were considering a larger tank option. Maybe the article was dated.

They'd need to upgrade the way-too-lame springs to carry all that extra weight.
