Tire noise

    anybody notice the mastercraft courser tires get a lot noisier as they wear.i was chasing a noise in the front end of my 09.checked the wheels bearings and everything.gonna rotate them front to back and see if it changes.

    Have you had it aligned recently (since last new tires)? The most common cause of road noise that gets worse with wear is uneven wear, as caused by an out-of-alignment scrubbing. Chances are good the noise will just move to the back when you rotate, which would have me on the way to the alignment shop.

    nope the tires aren"t wearing funny.might just be me hearing stuff too.steering wheel isn't crooked.dang thing does have 176,000 miles though.im gonna rotate the tires and check the front hubs closer when I pull the wheels.

    Wife's highlander has Cooper AT3's on it and they are getting loud ESP since the dealer failed to rotate them when she went in last time.... So I'm having her go to the local Cooper service for a rotation and inspection of them, they are so much louder than. MY STMAXX tires...

    left side wheel bearing.and the right side is a little noisy too.
