All the calamity galore of low AT fluid makes me want to have the dealer look at my MT fluid as well. Has anyone checked the MT fluid level yet? Thanks.

My dealer was "supposed" to have checked it at my 5K service... I looked, the rear diff was checked not the front diff and not the transfer case.. they all had painted plugs from factory.

I just ordered 1 litre of transmission gear oil and 1 litre of diff oil today from my local dealer. The parts guy had to look up the product numbers to order them. Pricey too at $26/litre or thereabouts. Adding gear oil is a pain .... need a long hose with funnel and 3 hands. My wife will help me.

I checked mine. Between the rear diff and trans I used about a quart of 75w90 gear oil. I used the Arnold pump kit from home deport. Work quite well, just pump slow and prime it before you start.

Awesome I'll be checking my mt tonight along with diffs, u-joint grease, and u-bolt torque. All things one should check on a brand new truck with 247 miles on the odo.

Don't bother with the dealer. It's too easy to do yourself. You'll be all wrapped up in the time it would take to drive to the dealer and have your first doughnut while watching Jerry Springer.

Just crawl under, open the fill bolt, and see for yourself.
