I immediately noticed a difference with music, it is 'louder' and I can feel more bass. It has lowered outside noise to some degree but as you mentioned, I too notice more noise from the rear (probably due to the large vents). For right now I just did the 4 doors. Once I complete my stereo upgrade I will be doing the floor and ceiling. I have been advised not to do the rear wall as my sub enclosure will not fit behind the seats.

I did my rear wall with Dynamat and have the stock JBL sub in there, just fine. Sounds much quieter with half the vents closed up too

Did you take it somewhere to cut it or did you do it yourself? I assume there wasn't any welding required after the cut but most importantly what does it sound like!?:burnrubber:

    Hi Everyone!
Today I took my Taco to SoCal Suspension here in El Cajon,CA (San Diego) and had my Billy's 5100's installed! I went with 1.75.

This is taken right after I got home. Has a slight Cali Lift but we'll see how she settles! Over all I'm very satisfied!

The other guys pictures were confusing though... he showed two pipes clamped onto a y pipe welded to the muffler.

I'm really not too concerned with having to make one cut. That's what I expected as that's what is shown on the instructions on MBRP's site.

I keep trying to convince my wife she needs one of these...But she likes NOT having a car payment.... Im not giving up though.

I love the fronts of the SR5 4runner. MUCH MUCH more than the limited.

Excellent choice in model and color in my humble opinion.

Hope you plan on actually offroading it!

Haha I'm trying to do the exact same thing with the 4Runner and my wife doesn't want a car payment too but my wife wants a Lexus or Mercedes SUV if we decided to get one

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
...^^^... FWIW ... I see were you have the "3M Paint Protection". That lists for about $450.00 here and I had to buy it for $209.00.

I always take that stuff off carefully in the hot sun.

My friends experiences have not been good because: (1) It will yellow in the hot direct sun ... (2) The edges hold a lot of dirt and shows on medium to light colors ... (3) on darker colors, the paint patina will not match unless you take it off early.

I took mine off after 1 month on a neutral Sky Silver color, and it still is taking time to match again exactly.

Good luck if you keep it ... but it is a waste here and just another way for the dealer to add more profit.

PS ... I would be interested to hear the "pros & cons" from others on this too.

If you lived where there are a lot of rocks (rocky road in Alaska) ... it may help ... but the rocks will dent & break it too.

Congrats on your new truck ... you will love it ...
