image.jpg image.jpg Tired of having the rods take up so much space and then slide around on the way to the boat. So for about $35, I built a portable rod holder out of pvc. Probably should have done two rows of 4 rod holders but this'll do.

    One of two things,
    - true rod holders for transport
    - true rod holders for surf fishing
or in reality both, but what are you gonna use them for?

I got over all that and let my boat rod holders take that function over,
if I have to transport I break them down, either way in the hold or broken down they are not gonna get tore up real easy.

    Enjoy.

Purely for transport. I live about 30 miles from where I keep the boat and all fishing gear is at the house. Rods are single pieces, so they don't breakdown.

Just needed something to pick them up off the tailgate to A) make more room in the bed and B) keep them from sliding around and getting tangled up on the ride over.
