it was my turn to cook dinner here at the beach tonight so i did a low-country boil. i cut up some red potatoes, corn, and kilbasa and dumped into boiling water then when that was done threw in 2 1/2 pounds of shrimp, 1 1/2 pounds of scallops, and 2 pounds of mussels and some old bay. i cooked it all together drained the water then dumped it on the table and eat. full again

Thanks all for the support, that was a tad stressful but another chapter has closed and a new one started.

We break ground on a addition to the house next week.

Then there is the Eagle project for scouts this summer.

    Oh joy.

Still a little blurry. My post surgery check up this morning was uneventful. Ophthalmologist says there's still a little swelling. Once that clears up, the blurriness should go away. Then on Tuesday I get the same thing done on my right eye.

Doc says his goal was multifold: Get a good balance of far and near distance sight to avoid having to wear reading glasses. Distance sight is priority. And correct the minor astigmatism. Damn, these new techniques in cataract surgery and lens implantation is so cool compared to several years ago.
