Anyone have a Samsung Gear VR?

I bought these a month and a half ago, and it has been a damn blast having this thing.
I got mine for $60.00 off Ebay. Best money I've spent on useless neat shit in a LONG TIME!!



It's tough to explain how much fun these are but I bought a 2nd one as backup to keep unopened just in case something happens to this thing.

Watching Videos is fucking crazy but the games take this thing to a whole other level. Almost 2 months in with this Gear VR and I still have to pick my jaw up off the ground.

First thing I did was get Ocean Rift. So relaxing and amazing. Feels like you are really scuba diving. I still go to Ocean Rift to chill on a daily basis.

Then there's Herobound. What a crazy ass game to play. You are right in the middle of the game. Scary cool.

Dreadhalls is pretty cool. I'm only about 20 minutes in but it's fun.

I scored this Moga controller for $25.00 that works flawlessly with the Gear VR. It's got the feel of an Xbox 360 controller and easily worth $50.00. Love this thing. Some of the games like Dreadhalls, HeroBound, etc. will only work with a controller. This Moga Pro Power works perfect.


If you have Tubemate (1 of the best apps ever created) on your phone then you can download 360 vids right off Youtube and watch with the Gear VR. I just watched these videos and It was fucking amazing. You are right in the damn videos.

There's a shit ton of cool stuff I've watched on here but there's too much to list.

If you have Netflix you can download it from the Oculus app store and it puts you in a log cabin in the woods to watch Netflix on a home theater. Way cool.

I have an app that lets me watch videos I made on my phone or movies and shows I download on my phone at a theater. You can choose what theater (on the moon, a classic theater, a etc.) that makes you feel like you are in a theater!!!

Watching the intro to Star Wars from 1977 was intense. The ships coming at you, the pew pew pews....pretty insane.


The 360 degree pictures from underwater, caves, on top of skyscrapers and shit are nuts. I get vertigo quite a bit on some of them. They are releasing a 360 camera this August to shoot pics and video in 360 to use on this thing. I can't wait for that.


With new shit everyday for the Gear VR all I know is the future of this thing will get even more crazy. I'm still in awe of the stuff that's out right now. I even watched some March Madness on this and I was sitting courtside. They broadcasted the Kentucky Derby Live from these a week ago also and have plans for live NBA and NFL games that put right on the field.

Oh don't get me wrong. I wasn't trying to be a wanker. I'm going to get a set of VR Headsets when they release the PS4.5. I think the VR stuff is cool and will be immersive as hell.

Yup, just read that XBONE is getting smaller, 4X faster and likely 4k compatible by 2017.

 

There adding new stuff everyday. It's a blast. I can't imagine where it's gonna go from here. Should be insane.
