Does anyone know the bulb size for the fog lights on 3rd gen? I've seen both H11 and H16 in other posts but I'm not sure which one it is.

Open your hood and look down you can easily see it :)

For me, I also have a DCLB TRD Sport. Someone on the forum took a photo of the manual and it said H11.....BUT..... I have H16 on my truck.

Also, H11 and H16 are compatible (connector wise), but be careful. The H11 has more wattage and if you have a plastic lense, it can damage it over a long period.

I installed yellow PIAA H16 on mine and it looks awesome :)

Do the owners manuals on these new trucks not have a lamp replacement table?

    Yes. BUT

    Toyota Tacoma e_brochure says:

Projector-beam headights with turn Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and integrated fog lights [standard on SR5]
Projector-beam headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and integrated wide-angle fog lights [standard on TRD Sport & TRD Off-road]

So, if you have a base model SR5, "the book" calls for an H16
If you have a TRD Sport or OR, "the book" calls for an H11
(Thanks to old-timer for the info)

BUT, when I look, my truck had H16 so don't just go with the book!!!

There are 2 different fog bulb options on the 3rd gen. Depends on your trim level as to which bulb your truck takes.

It is relatively easy to install the bulbs?

    VERY easy!
Don't go with the manual that says that you need to unscrew the inner fender. These guys are drunk. lol.
You can easily (unless you are The Moutain on GOT and have enormous arms) reach them from inside the engine bay when you open the hood. Took me 5 minutes!

Unplug wire, rotate bulb, take it out, insert new one, rotate to lock, plug and VOILÀ.

Advice: wear latex gloves to prevent contamination of bulbs. Or just be very careful not to touch the glass with bare fingers.
