Right now I have a JX250/1 sub amp and a pair of micro subs, one 8 and one 6.5. I ran them bridged in the last tacoma off the same amp. Sounded pretty good but always made me feel like it could go a little lower.

I am interested in trying the 10" version and wonder if it's worth putting a single 10" off the amp and how it holds up vs say a single 8". If the difference is negligible, I won't bother.

One 8" sub and one 6.5 inch sub, bridged off of the same amp is not something you want to do. You would be better with just one 8" sub running alone.

10" vs 8" is just cone space. There will be a bit of a change but not worth the cost IMO. If you are wanting to hit the low notes you might want to look into having a custom ported box built. That way you can have the box tuned to lower frequencies that the sub can work with to get the lower bass notes. Or move up to a more powerful sub/amp combo.
