Torque Converter and A/T

    I'm embarrassed to ask this question but even a little googling didn't exactly give me a clear answer.

    Does the A/T and torque converter share the same supply of fluid? In other words, if you change out the A/T fluid are you also replacing the fluid in the torque converter?

    Yes, same supply. Just draining the pan will get a portion of the fluid, not all. Flushing it will get all of the fluid changed, but you'll hear different opinions on whether or not to do that.
