    My first 4x4 was an '89 SR5 that met a sad end one week before 9/11. Fortunately, no one was killed THAT day. After that, no more 4x4s for me until.......last Saturday! I had been looking for a truck to get me on the beach to chase stripers (not "strippers') and red drum and wow did I hit the jackpot. I looked at 4runners but the nice ones were too much and then I came across this sweet 2012 Tacoma, low miles and clean as a whistle. I have a cap and a front receiver for my rod rack on order and I'm off to Cape Hatteras for a little shakedown cruise! I'll post some pics of the truck (and the fish!)

    The Philadelphia PA part!! But Hatteras Island is like home away from home for me. I get down usually twice a year, a week in the spring and two weeks in the fall. Being without a 4x4 for the past several years has been torture and it was long past due. My spring trip has been pushed back some, looking like early summer now, not prime fishing season, but I don't care I just want to get some sand in the tires.
