I like the look of the All-Pro better but I like the functionality of the ARB. Are there any cons I should know about the ARB or is the a reason I should go with the All-Pro over the ARB? I don't do any crazy off road, mainly trails for fishing/camping with the family.

I don't know how much more functional the ARB is, but I think the Allpro looks way better.

I don't know the weight of each one, that should be taken into consideration.

I went with Pelfreybilt but my second favorite is the All Pro.

The ARB is solid but heavy. Also it's air bag certified. Don't know about the all pro. Nothing is bending that bumper.
But the truth is, it's your personal choice.

I purchased a couple of things from AP and the build quality was lacking. On one item the holes for the bolts didn't line up. I was given a replacement but that didn't come with a notch cut out for me to access the gear oil refill plug. I also purchsed some Expo leaf springs and they became rusty really quick. This was about 4 years ago so maybe they have those minor details ironed out.

Ok I've read that the All-Pro is 50-60 pounds and the only thing I could find about weight on the ARB was some guy on YouTube that looked to be in his late 60s that could lift the bumper with 1 hand and said it felt to be around 80-90 pounds.

No doubt the AllPro has better approach angles. But I think ARB is the only bumper airbag compliant. I'd also check Pelfreybuilt and Relentless.

I don't want to waste money believe me. I need some protection in the front because I live in the foothills of Northern California and I work odd hours (corrections officer) at night I've already had a few close calls with deer. But I don't do anything crazy, just trails.

You shouldn't get either.. AllPro's build is still lacking. A friend got a rear bumper from them last year and its way off.

I vote Pelfreybilt or Brute Force Fab

ARB bumpers are heavy but they withstand high speed deer strikes, I hit several over the years and not a scratch, they are designed in Australia to push kangaroos (lol) under your truck. Just what it did with the deer I hit, they went under my truck and then got run over. Saved me thousands in repairs/ insurance deductables. I hit two deer within a few weeks of each other. The bumper literally paid for itself in this regard, in $ and time. If you wheel alot however, the ARB might not be ideal. I owned one for years when I lived ten miles back on dirt roads and the weight bouncing around eventually took its toll with lots of suspension problems and my radiator support brackets shearing, even my hood latch broke off. A great bumper for deer protection if you only go on dirt occasionally.

    P. S. The new arb are goofy looking they stick an extra few inches out the front and the hoops look lame , see pic in OP above .. bad redesign, you can stuff the earlier model onto new tacomas, which is what I intend to do. Still on fence between an ARB or an aluminum pelfreybilt however....

The earlier model ARB is cheaper by a few hundred $ too..., the price includes powdercoat and you can get free shipping, a big savings. Cheaper than the other options and you get alot more metal for your $.
if your primary motivation is to protect your truck from deer strikes then in my experience it's a no brainer, the ARB was designed just for that and it's a bulletproof, time tested design with millions of bumpers on the road.

Where can I find the early model for sale? The cheapest ARB that I found was $967 shipped from Bumper Superstore. Is that a good price?
