Anyone else feel like the clock just isn't there when/where you need it? It's only on certain screens on the dash and there isn't a clock on the instrument cluster LCD screen, which would be a perfect spot, next to the external temperature. That way, it would always be visible.

I'm starting to miss the dedicated, permanent clock display in my '96 Taco.

On the head unit, you could just set the three/two-block home screen to NOT include the clock. That way the clock stays permanently on the top part of the screen.

I've set my head unit to display a particular setup several times now and it resets and reverts back to the original.

Really? I set my head unit up with 3 panes right when I took delivery and haven't had any issues with it reverting back or not being able to see the time. I am on the the home screen or the audio screen probably 95% of the time.

i agree that there should be some permanent display. Clock is missing too often, such as when you are using navigation directions.

Wish there was a dedicated clock like my brother's 5th gen 4Runner. On the MFD next to the external temperature would be sweet too but I doubt it'll ever happen. Might have to find a tiny battery-powered clock to stick on the dash somewhere.

You mean the one always hidden by the steering wheel? I HATED the clock location in my 99 and 04, I always had to move my head around just to see it.

Home screen always has the clock displayed on my setup....

or I just look at my watch.

Agree. Bought my '96 used and it didn't have the clock option. Dealer wanted like $85 for the part. I ended up buying a little digital clock and sticking it into the OEM indentation with double sided tape. LOL

Find a budget wrist watch with a stretch (not buckle) band and put it around the rear view mirror. Or any watch of choice an put it on your arm.

I've set mine once three months ago and it's been the same since. Clock display is always on top whether I'm on home, audio or apps display.

I don't have the tech package, just standard TRD Entune.
