Been up since 4am.....

Days I have to work my body wants to sleep until noon.

Days off work I'm up at the ass crack of dawn.

 

Wife is gone for the weekend so absolutely no sleeping in for me today

well, no sense it putting it off any longer. I guess I'll go outside and get a few things done. Its already hot and shitty but only getting worse.

 

I'm sure my neighbors hated me this morning, mowed the lawn at like 6:30 am. Building a new overhang out back with power tools starting at 7. I won't work past noon on hot shitty days like this.

 

just learned that smokey bear was a real bear cub that was rescued from a fire in the 1950s.

I've just started to notice this groaning while turning at low speeds and braking to a stop. I jacked up the front and there is a lot of right and left play with both tires. My tie rod ends look pretty shot, but the entire rod is moving with the wheel when shaking as well. Does this sound like a steering rack bushing issue?

Check the rack's bushings. You would be surprised how much play they can cause

 

IM fearing having to do rack bushings

 

Are you referring to the boot on the outer tie rod or is there another part?

 

The bushings on the R&P itself.

 

They aren't that bad.

 

Saw a nice silver 2nd Gen with soft topper and plate bumper with tire carrier and jerry cans. It was headed South on 87 out of Payson around 5:30 tonight. It was one of the few vehicles that got out of my way before I was right on top of them, thank you.

 

That lovely moment when your A/C unit goes out...any recommendations on high efficiency units? I have my Ac contractor coming Monday to look at it. Hopefully he can repair it. But I'm preparing to replace it if needed.
