Thought the wife and I would do Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Thought I did well after split a salad(boxed up half for dinner) and split a slice of cheesecake. Then I entered it into MFP.
    DO NOT THIS!!!!! Bad idea

The flavored pouches are delicious. My favorite is starkist sweet and spicy over white rice and a pinch of Creole seasoning. A bit of sodium though.

I've read a few versions of Zinczenco and Goulding's "Eat This Not That" and they consistently rank Cheesecake Factory as the worst restaurant to eat at, in terms of caloric intake, healthy options, etc.. If you're stuck on the road, going out for food, I recommend taking a peek at the options they present for better choices. What's best for you may surprise you.

I'll join in this. This is a good thread with good intentions. I've been working on this for the last 7 months (6 tracked). I'll provide some of you guys motivation since this last week I've actually achieved my goal that I set for myself. After a bad physical last November and being heavier than I ever have been, I started eating right (portion control has been key for me) and working out regularly.

Too late to get in on this? I'm sitting here eating some damn Cheetos and thinking I should lose some weight . :D I have MyFitnesspal too.

    Age: 38 (39 in a couple months)
    Height: 6' 1" almost 6' 2".
    Heaviest adult weight: 266lbs
Lightest adult weight: 165 when I graduated high school, more accurate would be 187 lbs which I weighed at 22 when I got out of the Marines.
    Weight: 253lbs this morning
    Goal: 215lbs

At 25 I weighed 195lbs at around 10% body fat. In the years since then due to injuries, sedentary lifestyle, and bad eating habits I've gained quite a bit of weight, although I carry it pretty well. After recovering from surgery in Oct 2010 I found myself weighing 259lbs and feeling pretty bad about my health and fitness so I dedicated myself to eating better, cutting out junkfood, and exercising regularly. In Sept of 2011 I weighed 218 lbs and was feeling really good. Sadly I didn't keep it up and by Jan of 2016 I was up to 266lbs. I have been doing a bit better and excecising and have dropped down to 253 but I would like to get down to 215-220 again. That's where I feel most comfortable.

Guess I'll need to bring extra "healthy" foods to tsf...

I'm gonna try not to bring junk food to TSF. Last time I was in Moab I did pretty well eating healthy-ish. Except when we went to Pizza Hut after being out in the desert for 4 days...

Back down to 239 this morning so yeah gonna quit the working out fasted in the morning on the weekends and just keep my normal routines through out the weekend. I feel like I have way more energy, can focus more at night "everyone is usually out of the gym" and just overall I feel better doing it. Today is a rest day so only will see about 2k calories about 900 so far for the day (been super busy)

Probably spend the rest on dinner and then of course I can't go to sleep until I have my cottage cheese and Protein

Cheetos sound amazing!! Welcome to the group.

The OP has some great links and a general overview of the group's goals and activities.

Once you're weighed in, please log your progress through this link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Gc4JcXsEArL0qq3SvtMUns0v-iQjLF1XYYywW7WDu6A/viewform?c=0&w=1 Fridays are "official weigh in days" but the more frequent the better.

I'm logging daily there. I think we'll see some awesome trends and our overall progress can keep the collective momentum up. Best of luck to you!

    No disrespect intended brother.
We understood your methods of calibration but the math didn't and doesn't add up as you know. Even when you say that a homedepot bucket weighs 4 lbs. I am thrown by that number because for some strange and odd fact I know that those buckets weigh 1.75lbs. unless we are talking about a completely different type of bucket.

Yeah I really thought I was eating good. I really love their Santa fe salad. Both the salad and cheesecake register as high in saturated fat and I ended up with 1327 calories. Like WTF!!!! Take in mind I split the salad(still have half) and split a slice of cheesecake.

Substituting my normal unhealthy afternoon snack for a protein shake these days. Add an extra 30g of protein a day, and avoid the unneeded sugars and carbs I was consuming. Breaks out to the same prices in all...

Waited 10 min and it cleared.

1 hour later I remember why I bought padded bike shorts last year.

Signed up for mfp and found that gnats are in the food section. That's good considering I ate around 100 on my bike ride
