The 2 month old is the good one she just doesn't like to sleep, it's the 6 and the 2 year old when they are together. They are pretty good when they are alone.

    Sup other dads.

Staying at home with your kid is awesome - I did that for about a year and a half. Wouldn't trade that time for anything, it was fantastic.

Yeah at one point I thought I was going to ditch the job and let the wife screw with work, she had more opportunity where she was at the time and this move just about made sense.

It’s not fun when both parents work for sure. For a long time my mornings looked like this:

    - Get up at 5:00 am and get my girls fed and ready for school (pony tails/pig tails and all)
    - Take them to school which is 45 minutes away
    - Drive off to work which started at 9:00 am
    - Pick kids up in after school care after work
    - Drive home and show up around 6:30 pm (whole day was shot)

Then its eat dinner, do the dishes and help out where I can (my wife did the other things like make meals, clean the house, do laundry...... she does a lot). Then its get the kids to bed ASAP after showering and doing homework (this is always a nightmare for those parents who care, can be vary time consuming and frustrating).

Now, thankfully, things have changed for the better, but I can certainly see the benefit in having someone stay home, be it mom or dad. Oh and as for Daycare, that crap is super expensive. Our worst year we spent 22K in Daycare for our two kids to go full time.

Been there, done that. Stayed home with the daughter from birth to ...hmm, still helping with her son (33 ys later). Drove a school bus for all her elementary and secondary school years, which gave me all the same holidays/breaks. $Zero child care costs. Best economic decision for our family and I'd recommend it if you want to really know your children.
