I just called my dealership and got the same "we have to inspect leaf springs first". Was told it would only take 30 minutes to inspect.

I would've called BS immediately. My letter says replacement, free of charge.

    I believe a perforation 1cm or greater.

I just called the dealership. They are currently waiting on springs. They will call when they are in, probably 2 weeks.

I talked to dealership about my leaf springs and he ordered them right then told me it would be about a month before they would come in. I got a call about 3 days later and was told they were in and set up an appoint to have them done next Tuesday. While its in they will do the frame inspection and address the seat belt recall.

Received my letter yesterday and stopped by dealer after work. In and out in less than 5 minutes! About 2 weeks until springs arrive they said.

I'm scheduled to go in Monday for the pedal/floormat recall and to have my leaf springs inspected. I asked about the lift block, and they said it would cost an extra $100 for the longer u-bolts and installation to have them put the blocks back in. If that's the case, I may just have them leave them off, and I'll buy the u-bolts for $40 locally and re-install them myself.

If you currently have the lift blocks and longer U-bolts installed, they are yours not Toyotas and they need to give them back to you. Just tell them to give them back to you and you will reinstall them. I have air bags on mine, and they reinstalled them for me no charge, I told them it should not cost me to replace their bad springs. The springs being bad are not your fault.

Good point. I'll request all my parts back. I asked if they would just re-use my longer u-bolts, and they said they would not.
