Just had my frame replaced on my 02 Tacoma Xtra Cab V6 with a 137,000 miles. All in all looks like they did a great job. While apart I had them install the ToyTec Boss 550 C/O's preset to 2.5" front.Rear I went with Wheelers 1.5" add a leaf as I was getting new rear leafs with the frame along with Bilstean 5100 shocks. I took it for a test drive today and was liking the ride around town. Then I took it up on the highway and sure enough as I dreaded above 50 I could feel some vibration in the drive train. I suspect the lift has put some strain somewhere. I will probably look at the center bearing to start. Any other suggestions?

If anyone is interested I'll post some pics when I bring it home.

Many have this issue after a lift. If you type in "vibration issues" in the search bar you can find a ton of info on this with possible solutions. Good luck.

There really isn't much else that can cause vibrations. the engine and tranny mounts are supposed to dampen any minor vibrations. if not the mounts, not the u-joints, not your carrier, not your driveshaft balance, not your wheel balance, not your tire treads, i think the only other thing really is either the axle needs to be angled differently using a tapered shim at both leaf springs, or something like the clutch/flywheel is imbalanced, assuming you have a standard.

In hind sight I should have ordered the shims to go under the rear leaf springs I rushed to get things together as my frame came in 3 weeks instead of 3 months. The dealership gave me less than a weeks notice for when they wanted to swap out the frame. I told them that's to soon for me to get things together.I didn't think a 1.5" would be an issue in the rear and from what I've read the carrier bearing drop is only necessary for lifts greater than 4".
