Really on the fence about outfitting my truck with these racks. Only big question is can it hold a roof top tent? If it can probably going to pull the trigger on them since they are about half the price of the front runner rack and still look good

Dang, I just saw this. Tapatalk used to tell me when I got quoted and I don't hop on the web version very often.

Yes, I made the brackets out of some scrap aluminum I had in the garage. I'll have to see if I have anymore of that material.

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
Has anyone gotten a cap rack for a 1st gen yet?

There are a few out there. Check out rick_stowe on instagram. He has been lugging around a roof top tent on a toprac with his 1st gen for awhile.

Will the low profile mounting feet work on a leer cap for 2nd gen? I'm away from my truck for a few weeks so I can't measure to see if the rack would clear.

If you don't mind I am going to post these over in the how too thread for people to reference when mounting lightbars.

    sure thing!

I was able to seat the bottom front edge of the lightbar, in the groove of the silver crossbar. that holds it in the placement.. and the mounts keep it tight/adjustable.

Is the bulb seal supposed to run the whole length of the front fairing? @zscott

Just installed the Rigid SR-40. Had to play around with a few different locations and 2 cross bar types to get it the way I wanted.

I used the long mounting foot that came with the light bar and bolted directly to the cross bar.

Mine is only on the part that comes down close to the roof. I suppose if the piece was long enough you could cover the whole thing, but I provide enough to do just the middle section unless I happen to cut a piece longer.

Any additional wind noise from this? I'm considering putting a light up there, but the rack is nice and quiet right now and I want it to stay that way.

Mine had enough to cover the whole deflector (just barely), so that's what I did. Stays there fine and rack has been quiet ever since. But as Zach said, and from what I've seen on others, most just run the part that is close to the roof/windshield.
