Locking Hub Wont Unlock

    2000 2.7 4x4 manual
    Trail Gear front and rear bumper, 5100's all 4 corners, Eibachs, toytec AAL 1980 Ford pickup horn, and lots of battlescars :)
    So for some reason my driver side hub is always locked even when it is in the free position. I completely disassembled and rebuilt it but the gears still engage, but only by a lttle bit. When I put the hub back in I can feel the gears engage only by a hair. Why is it doing this and what can be done about it?

    6" lift
    Go back to two wheel drive.. . I have the same problem and I just drive it as is

    I think all you can do is replace the hub. I don't think Toyota sells parts for our hubs except for the gasket.

    You might not have assembled it properly. Its not very intuitive.
    Take it to a 4wd shop with old farts in it. Younger guys have likely never seen one. :D
