    The front diff should already have an elevated breather from the factory up in the engine compartment?

    For you guys running an arb or something close, are you running just 80-90 gear oil? Arbs book tells me to run 80-90 but ecgs is telling me to run like 80-140?

    @JoeTacoma02 I have a Field & Stream -15 sleeping bag you can have if you need one. It's in good shape, I am just going to be getting surplus army bag/sleep system and it just sits on the shelf now.

    Run the heavy stuff. I don't know if 90-140 would have prevented it, but my seals leak in my front diff on the FJ80 and diff oil bubbles out of the solenoid. I now have a $900 counterweight in my open diff.

    Ive got 2 of these systems and they rock. Had them for 5 or 6 years and theyve worked in every situation ive put them up against with great success.

    I need help.... for some strange reason I can't get my cv to sit in my clamshell. Passenger side went instantly, drivers won't go. I've tried slightly rotating, hitting with all sorts of stuff lol, still nothing. I've been fighting it for about 30 and am getting pissed. Thoughts?

    Went to rebuild my camburgs today. Turns out one popped the wear band and an oring off and chewed them up internally. Have some nice metal on metal action inside that coilover. Not so sure its rebuildable.

    Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
    Good thing I'm not doing any maintenance today. Seems like everyone else is having issues. Will be changing oil thursday before tsf. Coming up on 90k as well, so will be doing diffs sometime this summer.

    I had to use general grease to keep the C clip set

    Yea I had to rotate the c clip, I thought I had the opening faced down...

    Now my next problem is I fucked up my axle nut.... so now I'm questioning if I set the thing on fire and walk away..

    Well got everything back together, swapping clamshells is pretty simple lol.

    Question now is, wtf do I do with my stock front clamshell. Has 81k on it, any ideas what it's worth or how to go about selling it?

    Snugtop cab high canopy.
    I've never seen a u-haul that didn't have problems or breakdown on a cross country move. Including problems like having unsafe illegal tires. So I recommend something else.

    Get a good quality 10 mm Allen head on socket. I got one from Napa for about $6.50. You will also need a decent breaker bar, and having a cheater bar helps. I had to put my truck on ramps to break loose the drain plug on the front diff with cheater bar. Started parallel to ground and put the cheater bar to the ground without it breaking loose before truck was up higher. Rear diff is the only one you can put fluid into by dumping from the bottle. I got a manual transfer pump from harbor freight and quickly found that the small line isn't worth using.

    I used Budget to move across WA from west to east. 24' truck with car dolly plus 16'. The big truck was fine until it was loaded, and I was leaving. Radio was stuck one one channel, and the brakes were a bit soft when loaded.

    I sold mine for $400 I think. People upgrade the gears, then swap their stock one out with no down time and they end up with a trail spare.
