I have been looking at TRD OFF-ROADS on this one site. I am somewhat familiar with the different packages on a Tacoma. I currently have a TRD Sport, that was damaged in a fire. So that is now a work truck and I am in the market for a replacement personal truck. Anyways, the truck I am looking at says SR5 on the tailgate, dealer says it's an OFF ROAD. But it clearly doesn't have anything a off road has. My question is can a TRD off road be and SR5 also? From what I have read, it does not seem like it.

05-10 all models above an "SR5"
Had the sr5 badge on them including the trds (sports or off roads)

If it's a true trd Offroad just look for the locker button on the driver side

Way back when, SR5 was a fancier trim level that Toyota offered. Now, it's just about standard.

2nd Gen Off Roads will have a locker button that says RR Diff Lock on the left of the dash by the drivers left knee as stated above.
