My TRD Pro Build

This thread reminds me slightly of the the thread where the guy found the stolen white Tacoma at a salvage auction.

KBB trade in value is 31-$32,000. If I lived near there I would try to buy it. I'd offer them $33,000 and try to settle at $35,000 with the clear bra removed. It adds more headache than value to the truck. Eventually its going to start peeling and looking like crap and who knows if its going to peel the paint off the plastic when its pulled off or leave a nasty sticky residue behind. And ditch the black tail lights too.

 

It'd probably be tough to make them move on the price. Tacoma's around here hold their value insanely. The used ones go for more than the brand new ones. No lie. Figure that one out.

Just noticed the dealer dropped the price $5000 already. Someone should get a decent deal soon.

I went to take a look at this truck a couple of weeks ago. Asked to take a test drive and the salesman insisted that he run a credit check "to make sure I was a serious buyer." He was claiming that it was the only TRD Pro in the state. I get that they're "rare" but come on.

It looks like they sold it though, it's no longer listed on their website.

 

Yeah appears to have sold. Noticed it was gone the other day from the display.

And of course that's a lie, I see TRD pros all the time lol. All three versions.

 

Why is that normal? - My credit was never checked for a test drive & I paid the truck in full so no need anyways

 

sounds like hype to me. an attempt to ask for way more money than deserving IMO

 

Oddly enough there's now an XRunner on the Pro's platform lol. Where they finding these obscure tacomas? lol


And speaking of joyrides in rare vehicles...I watched an employee take off with it (XRunner) shortly after I passed by it as the dealership closed lol

 

Sometimes I think about this truck and how well-protected that paint is...Wonder what she's up to

 

I was thinking about this earlier today too... Was driving behind a dump truck and it hit a pothole on the highway going 60mph.... sprayed dirt and rocks all over my truck. Really made me wonder...
