Noticed gunk in what I believe is the throttle body? Is this normal or is my air filter not doing its job? Cleaned some of it out but you can still seem some in the picture, as well as what I wiped out on the shop towl in the picture showing my filter. Thanks for the help. image.jpg image.jpg P.S. Does anyone know what this mysterious unplugged connector is? Never noticed it until just now. image.jpg image.jpg

That almost looks like a coil pack connector, though it'd be pretty obvious if that were unplugged. The TB probably was cleaned by someone before you who did a poor job and just used a rag or something and didn't bother to get in the crevices.

Thanks guys. I cleaned it up before reinstallation. Definitely not a coil pack connector and I'm not throwing any codes/performance issues so I guess I'll just ignore it for now.

I had that plug on my 1995 T100 that thing drove me crazy I always thought it was something like if you wanted to add the cold weather packaged that's the connection to heat your engine with what ever they do no clue though and I'm those days I never really cared about the truck enough to trace it

I have that same empty connector on my 95.
Does not have EGR, and that is what I assumed it was for .
