Haha I could only imagine the trails your poor trucks been dragged through. Pretty impressive to make behind guys like that.
Only real reason I want to upgrade is to lose a little weight in the front and Ive heard to many horror stories of a cable snapping and a hook or shackle going through back windows and such.

Expensive yes, but it's the winch line my dad has been using for the last 9 years. Master Pull has also go up in price in recent years. I think the've doubled in price since my dad got his. Right now his FJ is sitting right over 6000lbs--unloaded. The Master Pull and M8000 combo has definitely been a worth while investment for him, even though he has only used it to help others, never himself.

Yeah just cant justify dumping almost $700 on a line. For that price, I can buy another winch with synthetic and then buy a synthetic line for the winch I have lol. Seems like they are all the same price so will just go pick one up locally. My dads jeep has had the smittybuilt line for 2 or 3 years now and has yet to fail him or even start to fray or anything.

Just put some dental floss on there! With your SAS your winch is only gonna be needed to pull the HEEPs out of your way so they aren't blocking your line

If you are not getting stuck, you are not wheeling hard enough trails!

I wish I had buddies with rigs that want to wheel more. Most are stock with bigger tires and maybe a small lift. No armor or lockers and most dont want to do hard trails cause there scared to scratch it or dent it since its their dailys.... Ive scratched the crap out of mine and the dents are starting to roll in. I think they make it all the better and give me something to talk about lol.

Wish there were more trails down here. All we have is parks but I don't wanna pay $50+ for a weekend, plus theres no goal other than saying I did this trail. There's very few around here where there's a cool spot/view once you make it through the trail.

Lots of cool trials around. I just dont like doing them alone. I rode dirt bikes and raced in the desert so always used to go riding by myself. Crashed hard a few times alone many miles away from the truck so am a little more cautious now even in the truck since it can be along walk to get service.

It is nice though not having to pay to do trails... Although trails are becoming limited due to blm and taking all the land... And having a view or something at the end always makes it worth it. One of the reasons I enjoy the "overlanding" I do cause I like to go to the places most wouldnt. The places most people dont even know exist or forgot about. One day I will road trip through all the states and hit as many back roads possible.. One day.

Yeah no overlanding down here. So once I'm done with school, hello West Coast. How's Nevada, one of the places on my possible list

You need to drive up to harlan ky. Almost 2000 achers all over mountains. Probibly the closest to outwest style wheeling in the "area".

Nevadas great. Has everything you could want, mountains and desert and much more. And it changes with each season. Wheeling season is mainly fall to spring though. Its starting to get pretty hot in Vegas so more night runs will be happening and trips to the mountains.

Im tryin to move to Southern California or utah or even colorado possibly next year. Most likely will be California, utah, or stay here. But plenty of trails around here from easy to hard.

CA is pretty expensive but my gf is from out there and Ive grown to like it quite a bit. But I like NV, UT, and CO because of the lifestyle and surrondings they have... This life stuff is hard..
