I own a 2000 xtra cab Tacoma. I puchased it having 17 inch wheels from an FJ Cruiser on it. Im having problems with the tires rubbing on the suspension and was wondering what my best option is here. Ive been recommended I get new struts, or try out wheel spacers. Ive even considered just buying a pair of stock 15s and sticking those back on. Which of these, or maybe other options I dont know of, will be friendliest on my wallet.

    Thanks.

It depends on where they're rubbing, but if they're rubbing the suspension components, you have to buy wheels with a different backspace that'll push the tires out more, or you'll have to buy spacers. Personally, I'd go with new wheels unless you really like those.

Theyre rubbing when taking tight turns on about the inner fourth of the two front tires. Its always accompanied by a loud creaking noise
