Proper sized hi-lift jack

    2016 TRD Off-road - dbl cab - short bed - tech pkg
    Looking to get a hi-lift jack to keep in the truck. Ultimately I will end up with a 3in lift and larger tires (probably 33) down the road so would like to purchase the jack 1 time. This is my first Tacoma and not familiar with hi lift jacks. I will want to mount this to the bed rails under the cover of my 5ft bed. I have a TRD off road double cab and will have sliders capable of being used as a lift point.

    Any recommendations on brand?

    I will need an adapter to use the round bar of my sliders as the lift point... recommendations on adapter?

    48in or 60in?

    Any info you can provide so I only make this purchase 1 time would be appreciated.

    I would say Hi Lift Extreme 60 inch... You will likely have to have the top in the clamping position and may even have to remove the base to mount it straight under the bed rail...

    I have the 60 inch (not the extreme) and with it mounted straight I don't have a lot of room to move it forward or back in my long bed.

    I can't help with the length as mine in an LB, but a few things: 1. The clamp function of the better hi-lift is nice. 2. The anti-rattle handle pieces in invaluable and 3. BE CAREFUL AND NEVER EVER GET ANYWHERE NEAR THE HANDLE WITH YOUR HEAD WHILE JACKING. I saw someone nearly killed (ended up losing an eye) when the handle kicked back. On a happier note, what do you use to mount them to the bed rail as I want to do that.

    Looks like a 60 it is. Thanks for the info. I was curious if it would fit in the bed and it definitely looks like that won't be a problem...

    How much are you charging for the mounts and also that round bar adapter?

    Did you have to remove anything to make it fit? Looks like the 60in comes close on the long bed let alone the short bed.

    No, I didn't have to remove or trim anything. I am using the Relentless Rail Hi-Lift Mounts: http://www.relentlessfabrication.com/collections/toyota/products/05-tacoma-bed-rail-hi-lift-mounts
