I've got a spare bottle of Lucas Oils racing formula " not street legal " octane booster that I normally run in my 11.1:1 sbc . This octane booster contains MMT or manganese and why it's not street legal

My question is since I've got a supercharged 2.7 4 cylinder would this octane booster help any especially since its running 4.5psi boost . Even with it saying that it won't harm catalytic converters with it having MMT harm the converter in any way , MMT additive will turn your spark plugs porcelain and ground strap a rusty brown color . So this may coat the converter the same way ?????

Since its a racing formula would I see any benefits

If you are running 91 or 93 octane and running only 4.5psi i dont see it helping you at all.

I don't know much about that additive......... but if you aren't experiencing any engine pinging or haven't increase ignition timing, then I doubt the additive will do much for you. The risk of adding the additive is fouling up your cat or O2 sensors etc

Not sure it's worth the risk/reward benefit. But obviously, that's all up to you.

I use both the NOS "race fuel not street legal" or the Lucas Oil "race fuel not street legal" octane boosters that also have MMT in my 11.1:1 sbc in my Camaro all the time . It barely runs on 91 octane with 40 deg total timing . The MMT in both leaves a rusty color on my plugs and both octane boosters increase octane 31 points

I usually run VP C12 race fuel which is good up to 15.1:1 comp in my Camaro but when I don't I use those octane boosters

Was just curious about trying some in my 2.7 4 cylinder in my 2002 Tacoma

I used Octane booster in my truck every other fill up and then my truck started bogging out under load. After hours of going through everything I finally checked the plugs. When I took them out they were bright red. Come to find out the octane booster fowled my plugs. So I wouldn't use any octane booster if I was you.
