Has anyone ever had intermittent issues with the drivers side front door lock? Every now and then, when I hit the remote to unlock the door, the front door will stay locked, but the others will open. Then I have to use the key. When I get in, I try the remote again from the inside and it works fine.

    Thoughts?

The truck is only a year old. Standing next to it pressing the button, it doesn't sound or feel like its even trying. I don't think its a lube issue, but thanks.

2015 = Take it to the dealer and let them do their job and repair it.

Thats an option, just not sure the best one yet considering it doesn't happen all the time. My luck it'll work just fine for them.

Doing so will accomplish several things. If need be, at a minimum it will document the issue for later. It might even get your truck fixed at no cost to you.

More than likely it is a defective actuator.

Took it to the dealer. Had a hard time replicating the issue until I rolled the window up. While they took a look at it, they didn't fix anything and had a hard time replicating the issue again, but now its documented. Not sure what the correlation is with the window being closed and the door lock being intermittent itself.

a possibility--the window is hitting one of the wires in the door. I know its a pain in the ass--take the door panel off and look

Taking the panel off isn't really a pain, I've done it several times, however, I put in soundproofing that I really don't want to take off and re-do to take a look. Besides, it still doesn't explain why it happens randomly even without opening and closing the window.

( Just a guess ) But maybe, when doing the soundproofing something got pulled or out of position.

Did this just show up after the sound proofing?

Not blaming, but ... This is what I do for a living ( troubleshooting ) on automated assembly lines.

More often than not it goes like this.

    1. System is working fine.
    2. Something was done.
    3. System no longer works properly.
    4. Undo whatever was done in step 2.
    5. System works fine again.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I actually did the soundproofing several months ago. The problem with the lock just started about three weeks ago. I was meticulous in putting everything back the way I found it. All wire bundles and fasteners were all put back in the position they were found.

Here's a new twist I've noticed...While the engine is running, when I open the drivers door while in it, then close it, the door locks all open, even though they are already open. Thoughts? I'm going to make an appointment for the dealer next week.
