They're a lot of work, but worth it on the trail. Also, just noticed your title is "Mr Mojo Risin", which is awesome because my dog's name is Mojo (after LA Woman)

 

Right? They are awesome. Seriously makes you wonder If a crawlbox is worth it haha but it would just be more awesome.

 

I've seen from some of the builds! Maybe down the road when it's no longer a weekend warrior I can revisit it but not anytime soon!

Couple photos from our departure into Moab via Rimrocker Trail. 160 miles of new/existing trails made for an awesome start to the trip.



Had to test the water crossing before the rigs did. Even busted out the shorty shorts for everyone's pleasure.


Put the Superwinch to use and moved a boulder out of the way on Rim Rocker.


Derped around in my safety glasses all week because I lost my Electrics at my buddies wedding the week prior. No shame.




Had to change out the front actuator the night before we headed home. Thankfully Kevin had a spare and nothing broke until after the last trail of the trip. This little guy showed up to our camp around 11:00 pm and decided to help me out.


Shouts outs to this gal for being an awesome copilot all week and making the trip the best it could be.

Rock Therapy 2016 was better than I could have ever imagined. Eight days camping and living in the rig proved to some of the best of my life. We rode some great trails and met even greater people through the entire journey. Until next year!

 

No damage to rear bumper?

 

Nope, just scraped some paint backing into a post at the Dennys in Montrose haha

 

Well that's good to hear, did you do the golden crack?

 

That's the one trail I had on my list that we didn't make. It was that or Top Of The World on our last day, so we chose to run TOTW with a group. Next year!

Hell's Revenge
Top Of The World

 

That's the one that would've messed the bumper up. So you don't really need a rear bumper to hit Moab, cool

 

I think each trail has obstacles that will mess up a bumper. My hitch receiver took quite a beating that would have otherwise been on the bumper. Also keep in mind my ride height is a little taller due to 35s.

 

Well I won't be out there for a while so I think by that time I'll be on 285's or 295's with a rear bumper

 

Good meeting you Austin and sweet looking rig! I'm sure we'll meet up on a trail sometime this summer.


As for rear bumper, I drag mine all over the place in Moab. All the ledges like to rip them off. I even hit my high-clearance side of my bumper this trip half way up to the tire which easily would have taken out a bedside. A hitch will save it most of the time though.

 

It was great meeting you, Brett! I'll be making my way up north sometime soon to explore that area with you guys!

 

How's the seal holding up on the actuator?

 

Pretty damn good. No leaks to be found and the actuator works perfectly. Going to wash the rig this weekend and get the skid back on. Thanks again for all of your help with that!
