    Gear update:

The lady randomly found this thing at an estate sale for $10, it's super cool! Figured it would be good to have in the emergency box.
I looked it up and it's about 10 years old so the phone output power adapters are for rather dated phones but I plan on modifying it with a usb port.
Everything else works great, I can see this being a very handy unit.

Jeremy, back to the Prinsu Rack. How did mark the weatherstripping for punching? I was planning on drilling all the holes, reinstalling the weatherstripping, then marking the holes from inside the cab. Yours looked to be marked on the top, how did you do it? Your headliner was still in at this time, right? Also what did you use to notch the weatherstripping? I was planning to use a Dremel.

I had started the install hoping to get away without removing any of the interior, so I did what made sense at the time. With the weather stripping in place I placed the rack on top, made sure it was exactly where I wanted it, and then made marks in the weather stripping. From there I cut through the metal rib with a dremel and cut the flap off with a knife. Then I used a 1" leather punch from this set:
    http://www.amazon.com/SE-791LP-Heav...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

After that I placed the stripping back on top of the truck, added the spacers, and test fitted the rack again. It took some light nudging to get everything back into place, then removed the rack again. Next, I carefully removed the spacers and made the marks for drilling using a pen followed by a center punch.

This method worked for me, but I'm sure there are much smarter routes.

I can't stop playing with this thing... something about generating your own power and listening to the radio is enjoyable.

The crack spread just as I tightened the set screw, I barely turned the thing.

It's not functional just yet, I still have a lot of electrical work to tackle but expect to have it wired this weekend.

Just a few bumps in the road, can't say I'm happy about it but at least it's mostly cosmetic. Just hope the holes I drilled stop it from spreading into my view.
