how does one look up TSB's? Do you have to be a Toyota employee?

Damn they're finally coming out with the tsbs. Hopefully the auto transmission is next.

Will be interesting to see if a revised part shows up on MY2017 trucks or even later 2016 builds.

No one in this thread stated what the TSB is for. I can't get the pdf to open on my phone

Don't hold your breath. It took them half a year to fix this simple problem..one that had a cheap solution.

I'm glad they released the TSB, but it doesn't mean they will be getting to the other issues anytime soon. I hope so though.

A lift should have no bearing on this issue.
You can buy the plugs yourself, even though you shouldn't have to, but it seems that's what most will end up doing.

They came out with this TSB because the parts are very cheap

I never had this issue on my truck or any of the other ones I test drove. Wonder why some are worse than others?

I drive about 3 hours every day and hated this noise, fixed it myself. I only noticed it in high cross winds driving through Kansas, or when a semi passed me going the opposite direction.

Fairly certain I only taped the large holes, but might have done all of them. I also poked small holes in them to allow for some drainage. And I only did the driver side to see if it would make a difference, lol. I did think about water build up at least so it was probably fine. Truck is still at the dealership though so I'll find out later.

I live in Kansas soo, yep. The window seal is worse than the LCA for me. 30 MPH crosswind while going 70-75 down the highway and it'll howl like a wolf.

That's good to hear. Sounds like you just found a new service center.

Nobody else is scratching their heads why Toyota has put forth the effort to create a TSB for this basically benign issue while scads of us are up in arms about the transmission issues we're having?!?! I think this TSB is more of an insult than good news.
