Just talked with Toyota customer service and they will not warranty a mirror replacement due to them not having a mirror to determine if it was faulty workmanship.

My mirror (just the glass) fell off while driving home one night and I wasn't about to stop and get the piece when I noticed it as I wasn't sure where it exactly fell.

Has anyone ever had any issues with Toyota not covering a part under the 100K bumper to bumper?

Did you try the dealer? Maybe they will goodwill it for you.

Glass is tricky sometimes come warranty time.

Two dealers said no and for me to contact customer care. It's just funny they would sacrifice a $50 part for a future truck sale.

They probably said no because too many jerks who probably broke their mirrors on their own tried to claim warranty. Few bad apples ruin it for everyone.

How did it fall off anyways? I've had mine pop out because the kids would move them too far right or left, but the glass wouldnt fall off due to it being held on my a wire.

I haven't the foggiest idea...never happened to me with my two rangers...happened to me in the parking lot in High school with my Ford Tempo (kid was running thru parking lot and hit it) but I picked it up off the asphalt and put it right back in.

Appreciate the help guys! I just went ahead and ordered it thru dealership because I need it.

    Dealership was $48
It's worth my time to argue because I'm paying for a bumper to bumper. Warranty companies rely on the customer not wasting their time to make money.
