    2005 DCSB TRD OR
22" Light Bar, Motometal wheels, Goodyear Wrangler AT, Bull Bar, 2" leveling kit and rear add a leaf, Custom Grill, Projector Halo LED Headlights, Vinyl Wrap Satin Black Hood, Plastidip rear bumper, Plastidip Badges, Ceramic Window Tint 15%, Ceramic Windshield Tint 70%, De-badged tailgate, Carbon Fiber Interior vinyl wrap, Kenwood Deck, LaminX Tinted Taillights
I need some help with my suspension on a 2005 sr5 trd off road 4x4.
Several years ago I put on a 3" leveling kit- front spacer and rear add a leaf, I just needed something cheap to gain clearance for my rims and tires. It has worked fine for my needs, but here is the issue.
I got the recall letter about my leaf springs, and sure enough there is a crack in one of the factory leafs. Toyota is going to replace free, but Toyota wants to charge me $300 extra to reinstall the add a leaf, so I am just going to order a new add a leaf kit, way cheaper, and install myself after they replace factory leaf springs.
Here is where I need help...I do need to get new shocks and struts as I still have the originals and I am at 150k on the truck.
I just need advice on what to do. I don't want to invest in a whole new suspension, nor do I have thousands of dollars to invest in one (or i would already have one ;) ).
Any specific shocks/struts you guys would recommend?
Should I buy the new add a leaf and add it after the warranty work, or are there shocks out there that will give me the same lift?
I don't mind spending some money,as I want to keep this truck for another 150k, but budget does come into play.
I also would not mind getting another inch or so of lift in the front, but not sure if I can do that with struts/shocks?
Sorry for all the questions, I just do not know enough about suspension and options. Every off road shop is just pushing $2000 dollar lifts down my throat, when all I need is some good advice for a cheaper option.
    What would you guys do?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can offer!

How do you use your truck?

Just go with some Bilstein 5100's front and rear and you will be fine.

If you push it a little harder, a Uniball UCA will be a nice add on if it's in your budget.

Is there anything wrong with the AAL that is already on there? You can have the dealership to the warranty work at not reinstall the AAL and then install it yourself/

Get the 5100's for the front and rear.

Contact any of the Vendors on here and they will get you taken care of.
