Just bought this and I was wondering if there was a consensus about buying the hydroshield and the injen heat/splash guard? Should I buy one or the other..or both..or not at all. Thanks for the feedback.

All I know is when I had a CAI on my last car, whenever it rained extremely heavily the engine would sometimes stall on me...presumably because of moisture getting through the intake. If they offer a "hydroshield" I would get it just to be safe.

@eon_blue yeah that sounds like a good idea to me. Does anybody know if auto parts stores carry these? I don't feel like paying $15 bucks for shipping on something that's only $20 to begin with.

@eon_blue do I need to get the MAI sensor from URD or does the stock one work?

I'm not sure, I didn't have the URD intake on my last car, I had an Injen one that worked with the stock MAF sensor. What does the product page say on their website? It should tell you if you need their MAF sensor or not, I'm betting you can just use the stock one though

It just says they recommend it. The installation manual they sent though tells you how to install it so I didn't understand.
