I saw that. I don't think anyone here will make that mistake again. It's a toss up for me. Mine was made in Texas in march. Most likely going to be low. Made a deal with my dealership that if they gave it to me low then they are covering it. If it's fine I'll pony up the cash to pay for the check. I'm just thinking $40 for fluid is better than paying a toyota tech potentially. I will call the dealer today and find out a price for the check. See what they say.

Make sure you mark the bolts to hold them accountable. My dealer said they checked and the bolts I marked with paint were untouched.

I think it's better if you can find a dealer willing to check it for you; at least you'l might have some recourse later on should problems arise.
This is of course if the dealer properly checks it.

Problem for me is there is only 1 dealer within 800km. How would I mark the bolts?

You can use something called torque seal. You make a line on the bolt head to the joint and it dries in a solid line. When the bolt turns it breaks the line.

Or you could trust the dealer because no matter what you put on the bolt nothing stops them from seeing it and just wiping/scraping it off.

Or you could ask if you could watch.

I've thought about it, but I don't have a second set of hands to film.
