The motor mount attachment points are a weak spot. In 07 they changed the frame design to brace the mounts better. With a frame replacement you're good to go (at least I can't imagine in any way they would use an old frame to do so).

If you are spending $22K why not go a little higher and buy new? When it comes to Toyota trucks I am a fan of buying new and driving it into the ground. Tacomas seem to hold their value so well that it really doesn't make a great deal of sense to buy used in my opinion. I had a 2000 Tacoma that someone left their business card on and written on the back was "call me if you want to sell this truck". I've also seen signs at the dealer that say "we want to buy your Tacoma, please help". Demand is absurdly high for used Tacos.

Haha because I'm an 18 year old who's worked his ass off for a very long time to get a 13k down payment and a 10g loan is already pushing it for me!

Just in the last few weeks I paid a little over $25k for my 09 DCSB with 88k on it, in Portland of all places. But then, it's already got AFE intake/exhaust, a color matched canopy, brake controller, rear suspension air bags, AND the 6 speed manual. I wasn't even really shopping for a truck when I stumbled across it, and it realistically was more than I wanted to pay, but I wasn't going to come much closer to exactly what I wanted, so I jumped on it.

PM me your number if you want and I will shoot you a text when I come across one. I'm CONSTANTLY on Craigslist in my area and will let you know when one turns up. Tacomas are very popular around here.

I've been kicking around the idea of selling mine for the right price...2009 TRD OR 4x4 Double Cab 98k miles, auto trans. Lifted with 5100's all around and Eibach springs up front AAL in the rear. Like new 285/70/17 Duratracs (5000 miles on them), Level 8 MK6 wheels. Black headlights, satoshi grill. Clean as a whistle. Shoot me a PM and we can talk if your interested. I'm in Vancouver, WA.

That price sounds reasonable to me. There are a few apps for your phone that allow you to search multiple cities on craigslist, and set up alerts when a new posting comes up that meets your search criteria. That's what I used for a few weeks when I was searching for a manual DCSB 4x4. I found the one I purchased through the app.

Autotrader is also good, and these forums are good places to search. If you find one in the Phoenix area, I'll take a look at it for you.
