I just installed BFG K02 285/75/16 on my 3rd gen Tacoma that has a leveling kit from Rough Country and when I was getting the tires I had them check for rubbing before I bought them and they said there was none so I went through with the purchase... Now that I have driven it around i have notice rubbing when i turn all the way one way or the other.. at first I thought it was the mud flaps took those off and still had the rubbing so I inspected it and noticed it is on the Upper Control Arm..

I have not had an alignment done after I installed the leveling kit which I have been planing on doing so maybe that will fix it... not sure though..

The other thing I have been told is replace the OEM wheels to 16x8....

any other suggestions? I love the tires so I don't want to replace them but not sure how safe it is driving with the rubbing on the UCA...

Looks like your going to need some wheel spacers since the 285's are so wide!

As long as you don't buy cheap spacers you will be fine. I've ran spidertrax and never had a single issue. As long as you use blue loctite and torque them to specs they are good! Don't go on eBay and buy cheap spacers cause then you can have problems!
