Long Island, NY Tacos

I find it funny when people mod their oem antenna for a stubby one and later add a cb and premeditated add long stick. I oddly like the oem antenna, it works better and works as a clearance point in the tight woods, but if you do drive through washes its ready for the breaking if you don't remove it.

My OEM antenna broke during an ice storm. It was frozen solid and driving out of my driveway the movement cracked it in half, then static. I bought a cheap replacement from Autozone and it worked for years. It was then stolen. Another cheap antenna from Autozone was purchased and it was forgotten prior to entering a car wash. That antenna was damaged so bad no replacement could be installed. I had to purchase the entire mount and antenna, $90. The OEM works great. During my time figuring things out with my antenna, I came across another blog/forum on TW about cravenspeed and decided to give it a whirl. Bottom line, it sucked. OEM works great, just make sure to remove it.......

 

For those interested in going to Rausch for the take over, you camping there or in the cabin rental place down the road? If I'm riding solo I'm camping there but if wife and dog come I might be doing the cabin route.

 

I want to use my camping gear and keep expenses down so I think there would be my preference. My biggest thing first is trying to get us all to caravan up together, we all wanna leave thursday night? Friday? Saturday?

I am almost 100% sure my gf will be joining me. Ideally would like to head out Thursday night but can also do friday ass crack of dawn, preferably not, if everyone is in agreement?? We should all try and get together before hand for a quick meet and great and pre trip planning.

 

Geez just bad timing for Rausch for me. Closing on my house the week before that. No shot The wife will let me swing that trip.

 

Anyone want these? universal fit cheap seat covers only used for about two days before ditching the vehicle.
The fit was surprisingly good when test fitted on my tacoma sport buckets.
$10 bucks takes them!

Took my Taco to Rausch Creek Off Road Park. Very happy how well it did.

 

Anything else you can report back?? truck stock or modded? what types of trails did you run? green blue black? Was it dry, wet? how the water hole pits this time of year?
