Damnit, meant stock head unit, anyways.

What can I expect for sound quality by replacing the stock speakers with 4/alpine 610s's, an alpine 60 watt 4+1 amp, and alpine 10" sub behind the rear driver side. Will it be much louder and/or clearer?

Maybe I should have been more specific. Anyone have these in their trucks and how well do they outperform the stock speakers.

It will be way louder! Clearer... depends on where you have your crossovers set at, what you do with the amp, what speakers you get. Also, if they are passed a full range signal then you will not get the performance you want.

Not sure if the speakers you are looking at are component sets but you will probably be more satisfied with a component speaker set. They come with crossovers that are preset for the speakers you buy. They are designed to send HP frequencies to your tweeters and BP frequencies to your 6.5" speakers. People tend to like the alpine R series speakers. Another thing you may want to consider is that the front doors have 6x9s, if you keep the 6x9s up front you may get better mid bass up front.

I JUST finished my audio upgrade and I implemented a sound processor into the mix and its the best sound i have ever had in a car! I will never have another audio build without one. They allow you to set the crossovers for each channel, among many other settings. So my each speaker plays a specific frequency range which makes a WORLD of difference.

I also use a 4 channel amp for just my front speakers. The rear speakers are not really heard by the people in the front so they are only needed for your passengers. I can turn my speakers all the way up with no distortion on most songs.

To check out speaker go to a local cartoys and go into their sound rooms and listen to their speakers. They have Focal, Hertz, JL, Alpine, etc. Find some in the price range you want and have sound you like.

It'll be some degree better than stock, certainly louder, but Alpine is usually toward the bottom of my list personally when it comes to speakers (some subs excluded). IMHO you can usually do better for the money. Also, I don't know too much about your particular head unit, but many of them alter their output to compensate for deficiencies in the stock drivers...like cutting bass frequencies to protect them or maybe boosting some trough in FR. That's just speculation though...every factory head unit is different. That topic has likely been covered here somewhere, but does not apply to me, so I tend to overlook those discussions. However if you're gonna use a stock head unit, it's good knowledge to start with.
