So I have an old Roll-N-Lock cover on my 2005 Tacoma, an have been pretty happy with it until it was damaged-attempted theftt. As you can tell from the photos, the unit is beyond repair and I will need to buy a replacement tonneau cover. The truck has 300k miles on it and I don't think I want to spend a lot of money on a replacement cover (especially when insurance might not cover it). I would the same level of protection and it doesn't have to be a retractable cover. Just something secure and easy to access my tools.

Any ideas and discounts to places to buy it? Thanks TW Folks

Damn that sucks . Did they steal anything ? I am thinking of getting that exact one. What you can do is google tonneau covers for Tacoma and it will give you everyone made for our trucks. There is so menny out there in all price range. I have been researching them all. Hope that helps.

Nope, they couldnt get in. They definitely used a prybar and worked on it for quite awhile. I see pry marks along the whole side. I had a few hundred dollars worth of stuff in the back, but I cant help think, what if i was empty (it usually is). I see a lot of tonneau products for our trucks, and I guess I have to do more research as far as price vs quality. I reached out to Roll-N-Lock and they wouldn't help me out with a discount on a replacement unit, but I guess that is just business. I enjoyed the cover for awhile, but I think I am going to go with a competitor this time.

Roll n lock is running a 150.00 rebate. I just ran across this . For your sake I am glad they didn't steel your stuff. So the cover did what they said. What they are not saying is that you will need to replace the cover when its all said and done. Good luck with your search.

I had a Pace Edwards Rolltop and a Roll N Lock. Both were great for security (as yours proved) but both leaked - the Roll N Lock more than the Pace Edwards. This time I went with a Fold A Cover G4 Elite. Opens front and back, lays almost flat when open (does not block rear window, easy to remove completely, and DRY!
